Bought tickets to Gardens by the Bay on Trip.com and it was truly one of the highlights of our trip! This stunning attraction offers breathtaking scenery and a wonderful balance of outdoor and indoor activities, making it a great choice for visitors of all ages. Whether you’re strolling through the lush outdoor gardens or marveling at the creative indoor conservatories, there’s so much to explore and enjoy. The variety of experiences ensures that everyone in the group will find something to love, from nature enthusiasts to families with little ones. 🌼 One of the things I appreciated most is its convenient location—Gardens by the Bay is just a stone’s throw from Marina Sands, which means you can easily plan a visit to the famous light show after your garden adventure. It’s the perfect combination for a memorable day in Singapore! If you’re looking for a must-visit spot that combines natural beauty and easy accessibility, definitely add Gardens by the Bay to your itinerary. #realreview

🇲🇾 JB to 🇸🇬 Singapore for a Day Budget-Friendly Guide | 住🇲🇾新山玩🇸🇬新加坡一日游攻略省钱版

 Before you go
1️⃣ Book your return train tickets in advance. Ours cost around RM10 in total.
2️⃣ Submit the Malaysia and Singapore arrival cards the night before your trip.
3️⃣ Exchange just enough Singapore dollars for the bus fare. You can exchange more at the mall near Woodlands MRT.

✨ Estimated spend: around S$51 per person
About S$4 for buses, S$10 for a transit card (including S$5 in travel credit), S$30 for meals and coffee, and S$7 for the ride back. This is just a rough estimate based on what we spent.

✨ Our day trip
🚄 We took the 10am train from JB Sentral to Singapore. The ride takes about five minutes, but arrive early to clear immigration and wait for the train. Just scan your passport at the gate. After clearing immigration in Singapore, follow the crowd to the bus stop and take a bus to Woodlands MRT. The adult fare was about S$1.95.

🍴 We exchanged money and had lunch at the mall near Woodlands MRT, then took the train to CHIJMES. From there, we walked to the Old Hill Street Police Station, stopping for photos and a bite along the way. We skipped the popular photo spot at Fort Canning Park because the queue was over an hour.

🚶♀️ Next, we walked to Merlion Park, taking our time to explore, snap photos and rest along the way. In the evening, we headed to Gardens by the Bay for the light show. It was beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere—but very crowded!

🚕 After the show, we booked a Grab back to Woodlands MRT. There were nine of us, so we booked a 12-seater for S$60. The ride took around 40 minutes, with some traffic during rush hour. Then we caught the 10pm train back to Johor Bahru.

✨ We used the e-gate to re-enter Malaysia, and it was a smooth trip.

Singapore 🇸🇬✨
The city is clean and very easy to get around. The MRT covers almost every point. Traveling independently is super convenient! There are famous landmarks like Marina Bay Sands, Merlion, Gardens by the Bay, and beautiful photo spots like Chinatown and Haji Lane. There's also a huge variety of food, especially at Hawker Centres, which are more affordable than regular restaurants. It's perfect for a 3-4 day trip! 🌆🚇🍜
From Bangkok → Singapore 🇸🇬✈️ The most convenient way is to fly directly from Suvarnabhumi (BKK) or Don Mueang (DMK) to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN). The flight takes approximately 2 hours and 20 minutes – 2 hours and 40 minutes.

Once you arrive at Changi Airport, it's very easy to get into the city. You can take the MRT from the airport to the Marina Bay/City Hall area, which takes about 40-50 minutes, or call a Grab/Taxi for about 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.

If you're traveling for 3-4 days, I recommend staying near Bugis, City Hall, or Chinatown because it's convenient for getting around by MRT and easy to reach the main landmarks. 🚇✨
