Really don't recommend going in Sept–Oct, because it's so comfortable you won't want to leave! Singapore is absolutely the perfect choice for a short getaway! The city is compact with attractions concentrated in one area, and the subway covers everything so you barely need to walk much. You can stroll around slowly every day without getting tired, making it stress-free for traveling with seniors or children. You don't even need a complex itinerary to have a relaxing and carefree time. 🗓️ 3-day 2-night relaxed, minimalist itinerary Day 1 Morning: Merlion Park (Very few people before 8:00 AM; it's perfect for taking creative "water-catching" photos against the Marina Bay Sands skyline) Afternoon: Gardens by the Bay (The 100-meter waterfall in Cloud Forest is stunning, and the indoor climate control keeps it cool, so you don't have to worry about the sun at all) Evening: Supertree Grove light show (Free performances at 7:45 PM and 8:45 PM; lying on the lawn watching the lights dance is super healing) Day 2 Morning: Palawan Beach (A hidden gem in Sentosa; walk across the suspension bridge to check in at the southernmost point of continental Asia. Remember to wear sunscreen) Afternoon: S.E.A. Aquarium (The giant aquarium is dreamy, and it's such a surprise to see manta rays swimming overhead. It's very well air-conditioned) Evening: Stroll around Clarke Quay (The riverside lights create a great atmosphere; strolling through the night market while feeling the sea breeze is incredibly relaxing) Day 3 Morning: Chinatown (The colorful shophouses are great for photos, and the Buddha Tooth Relic Temple is quiet and solemn. If you get tired of walking, you can stop by for some food along the way) 🍜 Tried and tested: Local food list that won't disappoint Hainanese Chicken Rice: The chicken skin is smooth and tender, the chicken-fat rice is fragrant, and dipping it in ginger sauce makes it savory and memorable Song Fa Bak Kut Teh: The peppery broth warms your stomach, the pork ribs are stewed until tender and fall off the bone, and pairing it with fried dough sticks soaked in the broth is amazing Kaya Toast: Toasted until crispy, filled with cool kaya jam, and dipping it into soft-boiled eggs is the ultimate breakfast Satay: Charcoal-grilled until fragrant, coated in rich peanut sauce, the sweet and savory spice flavor is a must-have when visiting night markets Laksa: The coconut milk broth is rich and thick, the thick rice noodles soak up all the flavor, and every bite is super satisfying ✨ Travel thoughts Visiting Singapore in Sept–Oct feels just right—not stuffy or hot. Rain showers come and go quickly. The whole trip is relaxed without needing to rush from place to place. Eat, stroll, rest, and repeat—it's the ultimate vacation vibe.

🇲🇾 JB to 🇸🇬 Singapore for a Day Budget-Friendly Guide | 住🇲🇾新山玩🇸🇬新加坡一日游攻略省钱版

 Before you go
1️⃣ Book your return train tickets in advance. Ours cost around RM10 in total.
2️⃣ Submit the Malaysia and Singapore arrival cards the night before your trip.
3️⃣ Exchange just enough Singapore dollars for the bus fare. You can exchange more at the mall near Woodlands MRT.

✨ Estimated spend: around S$51 per person
About S$4 for buses, S$10 for a transit card (including S$5 in travel credit), S$30 for meals and coffee, and S$7 for the ride back. This is just a rough estimate based on what we spent.

✨ Our day trip
🚄 We took the 10am train from JB Sentral to Singapore. The ride takes about five minutes, but arrive early to clear immigration and wait for the train. Just scan your passport at the gate. After clearing immigration in Singapore, follow the crowd to the bus stop and take a bus to Woodlands MRT. The adult fare was about S$1.95.

🍴 We exchanged money and had lunch at the mall near Woodlands MRT, then took the train to CHIJMES. From there, we walked to the Old Hill Street Police Station, stopping for photos and a bite along the way. We skipped the popular photo spot at Fort Canning Park because the queue was over an hour.

🚶♀️ Next, we walked to Merlion Park, taking our time to explore, snap photos and rest along the way. In the evening, we headed to Gardens by the Bay for the light show. It was beautiful, with a lovely atmosphere—but very crowded!

🚕 After the show, we booked a Grab back to Woodlands MRT. There were nine of us, so we booked a 12-seater for S$60. The ride took around 40 minutes, with some traffic during rush hour. Then we caught the 10pm train back to Johor Bahru.

✨ We used the e-gate to re-enter Malaysia, and it was a smooth trip.

🏛️ WHERE HISTORY MEETS LUXURY: FULLERTON & RAFFLES CITY

Imagine waking up in a room overlooking the bay where Singapore's main post office once stood. Welcome to The Fullerton Hotel, a neoclassical masterpiece built in 1928 and designated a national monument. More than just a hotel, it's a portal to history: it once housed the Singapore Stock Exchange and the prestigious Singapore Club.

After breakfast, a 10-minute walk takes you to Raffles City: five floors, over 200 shops, from Omega to Marks & Spencer, and downstairs, the legendary Tiong Bahru Bakery and Din Tai Fung. But the most important thing is the location! From here, it's a stone's throw to Merlion Park (that famous postcard with the lion), Marina Bay with its 3.5-kilometer promenade, and Boat Quay, the oldest shopping district with restaurants right on the water.

💡 Tip: In the evening, head up to Lantern, the rooftop bar at the Fullerton Bay Hotel, with panoramic views of Marina Bay Sands. Sunsets here are an art form in themselves.
