A Giant Beehive Rising Above Bugis

#skylinescapes I’m back at DUO Galleria, just above Bugis MRT, and somehow this building still manages to make me stop and look up. There is something so fascinating about its honeycomb-like façade. From a distance, it almost looks like a gigantic beehive floating above the busy streets of Bugis. But when you look closer, the repeating geometric patterns, curves and glass create a completely different feeling — futuristic, elegant and almost artistic. What I enjoy most is the contrast. Down below, Bugis is always full of movement — people rushing through the MRT, buses passing, shops opening and the city constantly buzzing. Then you look up and this striking architecture rises quietly above everything, almost like a piece of modern art hiding in the middle of the city. I’ve passed by here before, yet every time I return, I find myself taking another photo. Different light, different angle, different mood — and suddenly the same building feels completely new. This is one of those places that reminds me why I enjoy exploring Singapore on foot. You don’t always need a famous attraction or an expensive ticket. Sometimes, simply walking out of an MRT station and looking around is enough to discover something beautiful. For me, DUO Gallery is not just a building. It is one of those unexpected city views that makes an ordinary evening feel a little more special. #hotdiscussions
