Trees That Don't Exist in Nature.

Singapore is home to a place where the trees look like they were dreamt up for a sci-fi movie. This is the Supertree Grove—the famous cluster of giant artificial trees in Gardens by the Bay. The tallest structures soar to about 50 meters. Their metal trunks are covered with real living plants—ferns, vines, orchids, and other tropical species. Tucked away inside some of these "trees" are engineering systems that help the park conserve energy and harvest rainwater. But the real magic happens in the evening. When the lights come on, these massive structures transform into giant glowing trees. At specific times, the grove hosts the Garden Rhapsody light and sound show, where the illuminated "canopies" change colors in perfect sync with the music.
