Don’t miss the lounge!

Most people walk straight to the lounges near their gates. And that’s exactly why this lounge stays underrated. Hidden right after immigration at Terminal 1, the Marhaba Lounge is one of those places many travelers unknowingly walk past… while squeezing themselves into overcrowded gate-area lounges later on. The difference? Quiet. Calm. Less chaotic. Instead of fighting for seats, you actually get space to breathe before your flight. What surprised me most was the atmosphere. Much more relaxed and unhurried compared to some of the busier lounges deeper inside the terminal. A good place to slow down, recharge devices, clear emails, or simply enjoy some peace before boarding. Food selection was also better than expected — honestly one of the better lounge spreads in Changi in my opinion. Not extravagant, but satisfying and properly enjoyable. Sometimes the best airport lounges aren’t the fanciest ones.
