InterContinental Hotel SG Ballroom Wedding

I attended the wedding of my good friend here at InterContinental Hotel, one of the heritage hotels in Singapore. This hotel exudes contemporary colonialism melded with elements of Peranakan tradition, creating a beautiful and sophisticated ambience. The wedding ballroom was equally elegant with huge chandeliers and crystals hanging from the ceiling. Along with the floral decor, it really made for a romantic atmosphere to celebrate such a special occasion. Most of the food was delicious and well-prepared! Given the current covid situation, all the dishes were portioned out into individual servings. I was full by the fourth or fifth course as the portion sizes were mighty generous. What was worthy of commendation was the service by the banquet staff. They were so on the ball, always ready to bring you that drink refill or extra cutlery. Special mention to the banquet manager, who busied himself making sure everything ran smoothly, even helping to carry the bride’s dress when the occasion arose. I wish I had this guy for my wedding.
