All Day Comfort Food At Mui Kee Congee

I love cantonese food because I am cantonese myself and if I were to choose my favourite canto dish, that would be my all time comfort food, a thick hot bowl of congee. Congee is such a simple dish but yet it warms the stomach and the soul, and it can be easily eaten as a main and along with other ingredients or side dishes. My number one go to place for such hearty bowl of congee would be at Mui Kee Congee Restaurant. They serve authentic canto/Hong Kong style congee such as beef congee, pork ball or pork slice congee, fish slice congee, etc. Mui Kee takes pride in their congee and even has an instruction sheet to let you know how to enjoy their congee in the best way. Other mains such as noodles are served too. There's mushroom noodles, garoupa fish soup noodles, etc. You can expect nice side dishes such as preserved bitter gourd, drunken chicken in Shaoxing wine, etc. I had their meatball and also beef congee that day, which came along with crispy dough fritters. The congee was smooth, flavourful and full of ingredients. Drinks such as their Hong Kong milk tea and yuen yang are not too missed, it's really good! Come to mui kee during lunch hours and they have affordable set lunch at $12.80. Mui Kee is my favourite all day comfort food place, which I will highly recommend to all. #singapore
