i Light Singapore is returning to illuminate Marina Bay from June 1-June 25, 2023. During the time, the Bay will transform into a visual playground with two new locations — South Beach and Millenia Walk, more immersive Instagram-worthy light art installations and programmes. This year, with the theme of “A New Wave”, all visual and art installations will mainly be placed around the blue color — as the blue color is associated with peace and serenity, which is what the artists behind these vibrant displays try to convey. Many of the installations are huge and will encourage you to immerse yourself in them by walking through the spaces. Glacier Dreams, which is made from real glacier images taken in Iceland, is one of the highlights of the installations, and will mentally transport you straight to the ice age. As Asia’s leading sustainable light festival, I light Singapore is organized by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) and presented by DBS.
