As we enter the library, we are greeted by over 10,000 books lined up on the shelves. The atmosphere is tranquil, yet each volume tells a story of the past. The walls and wooden pillars are intricately carved, especially the "Green Man," a medieval nature god carved into the moldings. This serves as a reminder that despite the luxurious palace, nature is always watching. This library reflects King Carol I's desire to make the castle a "home for readers," rather than simply a royal residence. Continuing our walk, we find the chamber of Queen Elizabeth, also known by her pen name "Carmen Sylva." A wooden piano sits beside a stained glass window, illuminating the room with soft light, reflecting Queen Elizabeth's artistic side, both as a poet and translator.
