Longquan Ancient Town is located at the intersection of Huai'an West Road and Shanqian Avenue in Shijiazhuang, Hebei. It is composed of Zhengtai Street, Zhidong Road, Daxing Street, and Shitai Hotel. Through unique scenes such as 'century-old houses, century-old bricks, century-old newspapers, and century-old streets,' it showcases the urban landscape of the Republic of China era. Longquan Ancient Town is a large complex of ancient buildings from the Ming, Qing, and Republic of China periods. During its construction, a complete set of century-old houses, doors, bridges, and stone carvings were used. These were relocated and reassembled according to the regulations of traditional Chinese architecture. The town has collected and preserved more than 900 sets of Ming and Qing Dynasty houses, over 170 courtyard houses, more than 700 meters of the remaining old city walls, over 200 sets of hanging flower gates, more than 1,600 pairs of drum-shaped stones, and 35 old stone bridges from the Ming and Qing Dynasties. It also includes all the old materials such as bricks, tiles, doors, and stone strips from two ancient villages of the Qing Dynasty, all of which were used in the construction of the ancient town. On the Ming and Qing old streets, cultural venues such as teahouses, wine shops, pharmacies, and banks display the prosperous and peaceful heyday of the Hebei region during the Ming and Qing periods. Each brick has a history, each tile tells a story, each door is a view, and each alley is a scene. Visitors can wander around, watch street performances, taste snacks from the north and south, listen to storytelling in teahouses, and stay in quaint inns. The ancient town has three streets and five alleys. Among them, Tongqu Street and Ruining Street are pedestrian tourist commercial districts; Wei's Alley is a specialty food district; Jingxing Alley is an accommodation reception district; Fukou Alley, Jundu Alley, and Zhiguan Alley mainly display the commercial guilds recorded in the history of Luquan; workshops, intangible cultural heritage inheritance, and the Mo Cliff Square Grand Stage are for drama performances.
