Check-in at the 22nd stop in Shenyang, 'Xita Yanshou Temple' One of the four pagoda temples outside the Shengjing City built by Emperor Taiji. Xita, also known as Xita Yanshou Temple, is located on Xita Street in Heping District, Shenyang. Xita was built in the fifth year of Chongde (1640) and was completed in the second year of Shunzhi. Due to excessive damage, Xita was demolished in 1968. During the demolition of Xita, an underground palace was discovered, and a batch of precious cultural relics including Buddha statues were unearthed. In 1998, in order to restore one of the 'Eight Sceneries of Shengjing', Xita and Yanshou Temple, the Shenyang Construction Committee raised a special fund of 30 million yuan to rebuild Xita in its original form on the original site. After more than three months of intense construction, it was completed on November 13. The rebuilt Xita is 26.33 meters high and the base covers an area of 256 square meters. Yanshou Temple covers a total area of 4,000 square meters, and the Shanmen, Tianwang Hall, Daxiong Baodian, and East and West Peidian cover more than 800 square meters. The hall is carved with beams and painted with rafters, which are simple and spectacular. Because the tower is white, it is also called the White Tower. To the west of the old city of Shenyang, it is commonly known as Xita. The name of Xita Street comes from this. In 1998, the Shenyang Municipal Government once rebuilt the Xita Yanshou Temple.
