Qibao Ancient Town - A Millennium-Old Town Built in the Northern Song Dynasty

Today, we visited Qibao Ancient Town, the closest ancient town to downtown Shanghai. Qibao Ancient Town is a 4A tourist attraction in Shanghai. It is said that to see the past ten years of Shanghai, you look at Pudong; to see the past hundred years, you look at the Bund; and to see the past thousand years, you look at Qibao. This indicates that Qibao has a history of over a thousand years, built during the Northern Song Dynasty and flourishing in the Ming and Qing Dynasties. The town is named after the seven treasures: the Flying Buddha, the Golden Lotus Sutra, the Floating Bell, the Sacred Tree, the Jade Axe, the Golden Rooster, and the Jade Chopsticks. With Qibao Old Street at its center, it is a historic and well-known ancient town in the southwestern suburbs of Shanghai and the only ancient town in Minhang District that still retains its old architectural style. The day before, we visited Zhujiajiao Ancient Town. Each town has its own unique charm, but personally, I prefer Zhujiajiao Ancient Town.
