10,000 year old ancient cultural cave, Sanya

We decided to visit this cave in North Sanya and were a bit unsure of what to expect due to a lack of reviews. Well we had a good time and a fun adventure just trying to find the place. We found the mountain easily but couldn't find an entrance. Eventually we found a road entrance and had to walk through a dense little forest area with red plastic markers. We found the cave area which seems closed although there are newly built paths. There is a big main cave and several smaller ones. The caves aren't large but the karst limestone formations are cool and there is ongoing scientific study in the area as there is evidence of human activity in the caves dating back 10,000 years. Overall a cool place to visit especially if you do some research into the caves or like geology. Hopefully in the future they will open the main gates and clean up and maintain the area better. #historicplaces #historicculture #staycation
