Montserrat is a multi-peaked mountain range located near Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. The mountain range is part of the Catalan Pre-Coastal Range and its highest peaks are Sant Jeroni (1,236 m), Montgrós (1,120 m) and Les Agulles (903 m). The mountain range is a popular destination for tourists visiting Barcelona. It is easy to get to Montserrat from Barcelona by train, bus, rental car, or tour. The journey takes about 1.5 hours one way and visitors can enjoy the breathtaking views from the monastery. The Benedictine Abbey and the Basilica are the main attractions of Montserrat.
