San Antonio had all the autumn vibes 🍁 and thrills on my trip—especially at Six Flags Fiesta Texas! During the day, I soaked up sunny skies and perfect fall weather while hitting up some seriously fun rides. But if you want to level up the adrenaline, stick around for nightfall when Halloween screams take over—the park transforms into a spooky playground after dark! 🎢😱 Top Spots to Visit: Six Flags Fiesta Texas Address: San Antonio, TX 78257, United States Pro tip—double-check the opening times: it’s closed Monday-Thursday, but Halloween night (Oct 31) is open from 5:00 PM to 11:00 PM. Arrive early to be first in line for big coasters and the haunted attractions; lines for Fright Fest stuff get crazy after 7 PM. Insider tip: Skip big bags so you breeze past security faster, and sneak in a cheap water bottle to stay hydrated (it gets warm even in fall sun!). The best selfie spots are near the outdoor cultural landscape area and around the big trees—perfect for those golden hour shots. How to Get Around: If you’re not driving, rideshares drop off right at the entrance—max convenience! Food Recs: Eat before you enter or hit up the classic funnel cakes in the park—totally worth it. Extra Essentials: No special visa needed for US travelers, but it’s cash less so don’t forget your other forms of payment —Weather in fall is sunny and pleasant, but layer up for night chills, especially if you stay for Halloween events! #sanantoniofun #fiestatexas #frightfest #themeparktips #falltravel #hellohalloween

💀🌺 La Villita Historic Village pulses with the vibrant energy of Dia de los Muertos, transforming San Antonio’s oldest neighborhood into a vivid tapestry of color, tradition, and memory. It’s an unbeatable spot for soaking up the festive spirit and outdoor beauty!

Start your journey at the entrance on Villita St, where bold papel picado banners and marigold arches mark the celebration. Wander the picturesque cobbled lanes for authentic altars (ofrendas) showcasing candles, food, and favorite mementos—each telling a moving story. Don’t miss pop-up workshops on sugar skull painting; they’re fun for all ages and make for quirky travel mementos!

Must-dos include exploring the artisan shops for unique local crafts, and catching live performances: dancers decked in traditional Catrina makeup and mariachi bands bring the square alive. Insta-worthy angles? Snap close-ups of altar displays, panoramas under vibrant banners, and the pastel facades of La Villita’s centuries-old buildings—especially at golden hour, when the whole plaza glows.

Tips: Visit on weekdays for a quieter stroll, or come Saturday to catch the heart of the action. Bring water, wear comfy shoes for lots of walking, and keep an eye on personal items with big crowds during festivities. If you plan to snap lots of photos, try mid-morning for soft natural light and fewer photobombers. My favorite: stop by in late afternoon to enjoy cool breezes and watch locals gather for traditional pan de muerto.
