Skip Sanya and Spend a Relaxing Winter at the Mouth of the Wanquan River

If you want to avoid the crowds and high prices of Sanya, the mouth of the Wanquan River in Bo'ao Town is a great place to spend a relaxing winter. ✈️Location and Transportation Bo'ao Town is located in the east of Hainan Island, 140 km from Haikou. It's easy to get to Bo'ao, as it has both an airport and a high-speed rail station. It's also only an hour's drive from Haikou. 🏠Accommodation There are many hotels and guesthouses in Bo'ao Town, and prices in winter are not as high as in Sanya. I recommend staying at a hotel on Dongyu Island, as the famous Bo'ao Forum for Asia is located on the island. The island is very green, and the Wanquan River flows quietly past the hotel and into the sea. There is also a cruise terminal on the river, where you can take a cruise to Yudai Beach. There is also a small duty-free shop on the island. 🍴Dining There are many restaurants and bars along the coast of Bo'ao Town, all converted from old houses. They are full of fishing culture and have beautiful environments, making them great for taking photos. One of the most famous is called "The Story of the Sea", and the food is also very good. After eating, you can go to the beach to enjoy the sea breeze, wade in the water, and collect shells for a perfect day. You can also go to town for some fast food, as this is where the 10,000th KFC is located. ⛲️Leisure and Entertainment 1️⃣Mouth of the Wanquan River Walk south along the beach to the mouth of the Wanquan River. At sunrise, stand on the shoal and enjoy the view of the river and sea merging and changing with the light. 2️⃣Skydiving🪂 Take off from Bo'ao Airport and open your parachute at the mouth of the Wanquan River.
