Wuyi Dream Hua Record

Fujian Nanping, this unremarkable small city located at the southern foot of Mount Wuyi, is one of the five oldest counties in Fujian Province, rich in cultural history. The name of the scenic area comes from the 'Wuyi Mountain Dream Hua Record' by the Ming Dynasty traveler Xu Xiake, which mainly records the historical culture and customs of Mount Wuyi. The term 'Dream Hua Record' originates from 'Dreaming of Hua Xu' in 'Liezi · Huangdi', which refers to a dream journey to the land of Hua Xu. The biggest highlight of the scenic area is the dozens of typical buildings from the Ming and Qing dynasties collected from various places, all of which are authentic ancient buildings from northern Fujian to Zhejiang, Jiangxi, and Anhui. The correct way to experience Wuyi Dream Hua Record is at night, when the lights add a touch of romantic sentiment of dreaming back to the Song Dynasty. The wooden carved archway at the entrance of the scenic area - Wufeng Tower is stunning. On both sides of the archway, there are five symmetrical wing corners like five pairs of phoenixes spreading their wings to fly. On the archway, there is intricate and exquisite carving, said to feature hundreds of historical figures and dozens of allusions.
