The View from the Ramparts

#falladventures Climbing to the top of the palace walls gives one of the best views in Marrakech. From there, you see the Koutoubia Mosque rising in the distance, the rooftops glowing in the sun, and the Atlas Mountains faintly visible on the horizon. The orange courtyards below look like a painting, dotted with green trees and shadows. It’s hard to believe this was once covered in gold leaf and silk — and yet, stripped of luxury, it feels even more powerful in its raw simplicity.
