Great Monument

At the end or start of Gran Via, it is adjacent to two of Madrid's most prominent skyscrapers. The nearest metro station is Plaza de Espana ( Line 3 and 10 ). The Plaza de Espana acts as a true magnet for those who visit, not only its houses one of the most photographed monuments in Madrid, in honor of Miguel de Cervantes, and the starting point to the Sabatini Gardens and Temple of Debod. The monument which is about 35 meters high is full of sculptures inaugurated in 1929. At the end of 2021, the square facing west has been considerably pedestrianised. There are some events selling souvenirs, snacks, drinks, and many more around the square.
