Fireflies and Fire Skies

Taking a trip to Bongowan to cruise the mangroves and river that juts out from dream beach. We got the chance to see Borneos Proboscis monkeys, crocodiles and fireflies swarming the river at night. When the tour guide grabbed my phone after the itinerary stated “professional photographer” I laughed thinking we’ve been had, until I saw the pictures and turns out the man is a genius! Then on the firefly tour he acts as the queen by flashing a green light to tease all the horny male fireflies into thinking they’re getting the chance to mate.
