Baotu Spring attracts more than 6000 visitors

Jinan is a city famous both in China and abroad for its springs, and due to its topography, it boasts 72 spring outlets, with the most famous being Baotu Spring. It is said that there are not only 72 springs in Jinan, but over a hundred spring pools just within the urban area. Regardless of the number of spring pools, Jinan's reputation as the 'City of Springs' is an undisputed fact. Two years ago, I visited Jinan and toured around Daming Lake and other scenic spots. Baotu Spring was the place I most wanted to see, but unfortunately, on the day we arrived, a TV drama crew was filming there, and the entire Baotu Spring scenic area was closed to the public. We could only take a photo at the entrance and leave with regret. Today, two years later, we are on a self-driving tour in Shandong Province and passing through Jinan again. Visiting Baotu Spring is one of our itinerary plans. Before coming here, I kept wondering if Baotu Spring would be closed for some reason again. Fortunately, we were able to fulfill our wish to see the 'Number One Spring under Heaven'—Baotu Spring. Unexpectedly, even after the May Day holiday, there were still many people in the Baotu Spring scenic area, and parking was hard to find. We finally found a parking spot in a shopping mall's parking lot at least two bus stops away from Baotu Spring, charging 10 yuan per hour. That wasn't too bad. After parking the car, we walked towards Baotu Spring and queued up to enter. The overall feeling of the park is that it's nestled among flowers and green trees, creating a beautiful environment, like entering a natural oxygen bar, refreshing and invigorating. There are several exhibition halls in the park, including the Li Kuchan Exhibition Hall and the Exhibition Hall of Li Qingzhao, a famous Song Dynasty poet. It is said that during the Qing Dynasty, Emperor Qianlong named Baotu Spring as the 'Number One Spring under Heaven' after using its water to brew tea, which he found to be mellow and delicious. It is also the earliest of Jinan's famous springs mentioned in ancient literature. We strolled around every part of the park, and without realizing it, we grew tired from the walk. This time, there were no regrets, and our mood was much lighter. I can't help but exclaim: Jinan is truly a wonderful place! Just like I once wrote in an article, 'Jinan is a city you want to visit again after coming once,' I have kept my word. Today we came again, and we will come back in the future.
