Huangdi Mausoleum Travel Guide

Basic Information • Location: Located in Qiaoshan, north of Huangling County, Yan'an City, Shaanxi Province. • Opening hours: 07:30–18:30. • Ticket price: Full price ticket: CNY 75/person; Half price ticket: CNY 37/person. • Transportation: From Xi'an, you can take a long-distance bus from Chengbei Bus Station to Huangling County, and then take a local bus or taxi to the destination; you can also drive along the Baomao Expressway, which takes about 3–4 hours. Tour Route • After entering the scenic area, visit Xuanyuan Temple first, where you can see the cypress tree planted by the Yellow Emperor, the stele pavilion, the sincerity pavilion, and other attractions. • Then go to the sacrificial square and feel the solemn atmosphere. • Finally, climb the Huangdi Mausoleum on the top of Qiaoshan along the Shendao, and enjoy the view of Hanwu Xiantai and other landscapes along the way. Must-see Attractions • Cypress tree planted by the Yellow Emperor: It is said to have been planted by the Yellow Emperor himself, with a history of more than 5,000 years, and is one of the oldest cypress trees in the world. • Stele Pavilion: It contains the steles of emperors of all dynasties who worshiped the Yellow Emperor, with high calligraphy art value. • Hanwu Xiantai: Built by Emperor Wu of Han, Liu Che, when he worshiped the Yellow Emperor, you can enjoy the charming scenery from the platform. Food Recommendations • Huanghuang Mo: Golden in color, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. • Soft Mo: Soft, glutinous, and sweet, with a perfect blend of red bean paste and soft millet flour. • Huangling Oil Cake: Golden in color, crispy on the outside and tender on the inside, sweet and delicious.
