Departing from Beijing | Six Days and Five Nights Travel Guide to Thailand

📅 Itinerary: Beijing - Chiang Mai - Bangkok - Phuket Island ✈️ I bought the tickets during the AirAsia mega sale in June. The outbound flight is from Beijing to Chiang Mai, and the return flight is from Phuket Island back to Beijing. 📍 Chiang Mai (1.5 days) Attractions: Tha Phae Gate, Chiang Mai Old City, Chiang Mai University, Coco Market Chiang Mai is a city with a slow pace, where attractions are concentrated, and one to two days is enough to visit them all. The most unique features are the temples and markets. 🔹 Chiang Mai Old City (Grass Market, Nimman Road) The old city of Chiang Mai is a place for shopping and leisure, which refers to the streets of the old town. The Grass Market and Nimman Road are particularly distinctive. 🔹 Tha Phae Gate🕊️ Tha Phae Gate is known for its pigeons. You can feed the pigeons and interact with them for photos. There is also a photo check-in service available, but the method of chasing away the pigeons is very aggressive... 🔹 Chiang Mai University🏫 There is a street food market and a small commodities market at the entrance of Chiang Mai University, which is great for shopping. The street food is cheap and delicious, and there are many clothing stores. Sisters who want to buy Thai school uniforms must not miss this place. 🔹 Coco Market🌴 There are many interesting markets in Chiang Mai. Due to time constraints, we chose this market that is only open on weekends, with lots of snacks and handicrafts. However, I do not recommend buying handicrafts here, as they are very expensive. 📍 Bangkok (2 days) day1: Erawan Shrine, Siam Shopping Center, King Power Duty-Free Shop day2: Wat Arun, Chao Phraya River Sunset, Train Night Market 🔹 Erawan Shrine: To pray for wealth, safety, health, and career success, you must go! There are some precautions when praying, it is recommended to understand them in advance. 🔹 Siam Shopping District: Allow enough time, as traffic congestion is severe! Many malls offer taxi services, which can charge by the meter. 🔹 Wat Arun: As a half-Dai person, I haven't worn Dai clothing for over a decade. I want to highly recommend the shop I visited at that time, which seems to be the third clothing store after the second intersection (the aunt in the photo), the shop was newly opened, and the clothes were very clean. I met a very cute shop owner. I said I wanted bling bling, and the aunt matched me with a bunch of gold and silver jewelry, from hair accessories, bracelets to earrings, necklaces, and waist chains, fulfilling my desire to wear gold and silver. 🔹 Chao Phraya River Sunset: There are many riverside restaurants where you can watch the sunset, and there is also lively disco music on the cruise ships. I recommend a restaurant, vivi the coffee place, and book a window seat in advance. 🔹 King Power Duty-Free Shop: 🛍️ Many salespeople at the counters can speak a sentence or two of Chinese. When I went there, there was also a promotion where you could receive a 200 baht voucher, and certain products had an 85% discount. 🔹 Chinatown: It's really crowded, and there are rats running around on the streets. If it's not for the sake of a movie sentiment, it's really not necessary to come here, and you have to be careful of pickpockets.
