Thousands of willow branches droop down, adorned with green tassels

Why are the willow trees in Hangzhou so beautiful? I used to think that the vibrant pinks and greens of peach and willow trees were rather tacky... how foolish I was. I was quite disappointed that the early cherry blossoms and tulips had fallen (even said I didn't want to go to Hangzhou anymore), but on the last morning, a visit to Liulang Wenying to see the willows turned my mood around for the entire day. In hindsight, I regret getting up early to go to Taiziwan; I should have headed straight to Liulang Wenying. However, the overcast sky and the crowds really didn't do justice to the ethereal beauty of the willows that I saw with my own eyes.
