I will forever remember this path on the west lake, a scenic area where I met new friends. If you enjoy taking long walks or bike rides while enjoying nature, then Bai causeway is your spot. Bai Causeway is a beautiful scenic promenade stretching across the West Lake in Hangzhou, China. It was originally built during the Tang Dynasty and was further expanded during the Southern Song Dynasty. The causeway stretches for 3 kilometers from the eastern end of the lake to the northern shore and is lined with lush green trees and flowers. The view is to die for. Walking on the causeway, one can enjoy the stunning views of the West Lake and the surrounding hills. There are six bridges on the causeway, each with its unique architectural style. At night, the causeway is lit up with colorful lights, creating a magical and romantic atmosphere. Highlights (Hearsay from our guide): the "Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake" scenery, which is considered as one of the top ten views of West Lake. The scene depicts the moon shining over the lake on a clear autumn night, with the causeway connecting the two sides of the lake. It's a pity I didn't get a chance to experience this. I suggest that when you visit the West Lake, do not be in a hurry, allocate it a whole day because there are lots of activities and scenic spots that are worth your time.
