At the end of the Western Han Dynasty, this city was built. Because a well in the city often emitted white vapors, resembling a white dragon, it was given its current name. 💥 Baidicheng is well-known for the story of Liu Bei entrusting his son to others, a must-visit for fans of the Three Kingdoms. Many notes indicate that the best position to view Qutang Gorge is from Baidicheng (which I disagree with ❌, because you can't see the front of Kuimen from the top of Baidicheng and can't feel the majesty of Kuimen). The best angle should be from Chijialou at the mouth of the gorge. Chijialou has a large number of wild macaques 🐒 (there were about 20 when I visited), and most of them are very civilized and friendly. There is also feed for sale at 5 yuan 💰 per pack.
