beautiful Chonggu Tibetan Monastery 3900m

called Gongga Chonggu Monastery (贡嘎冲古寺) 3900m asl, at the foot of Mt. Chenrezig. It is inside the Yading Nature Reserve, Daochen County, Ganzi Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture (Garze 甘孜藏族自治州). The story says that an eminent monk built this temple for the purpose of worshiping the three mountains but a disease attacked the area and the monk prayed day and night to the god to save the people…all the people were saved while he died. The local people than buried the monk on this land and piled majestic Tibetan cairns in his memory. How to get there? From Yading Village there are tourists busses going close to the temple, after get off just hike 10min.
