Xizhou Ancient Town/Let’s go to a windy place

Compared with Dali Ancient Town, I prefer Xizhou. Although Xizhou is also very popular and has a large flow of people, it is more literary and artistic. Not only can you truly experience Dali’s traditional folk culture and art, but you can also further understand Dali and its ethnic groups, and get close to the centuries-old Bai ancient buildings. ✅Xizhou Rice Fields The biggest feature of Xizhou is the vast rice fields, which are full of green in early summer and golden in autumn. The small train slowly shuttles through the rice fields, and the scenery is very beautiful. ✅Forten·Tianjian Coffee Western Restaurant The restaurant next to the rice field has a wide view overlooking the entire rice field. It provides pizza, salad🥗, steak🥩, coffee☕... and the taste is good. It is currently undergoing renovation and upgrading, so be sure to check the business hours before going. ✅Jiasheji·Xizhou Farming Culture and Art Museum There are many exhibitions here, including agricultural culture and natural solar terms, the appearance of local farmers and agricultural scenes, as well as the daily life of old villagers. It can be called an agricultural museum. ✅Jiangzhiji·Dali Folk Art Center This is a unique place that combines intangible cultural heritage, art, exhibitions, shopping and cultural activities. Here you can appreciate the beauty of intangible cultural heritage, visit various exhibitions, buy special souvenirs, and experience traditional crafts such as armor horse, tie-dyeing, clay cat sculptures, ancient papermaking, and ancient incense making. ✅Corner building The Corner Tower, also known as the Round Corner Tower, is one of the landmark buildings in Xizhou Ancient Town. This building is the former residence of Yang Ruxuan and was built in 1945. The ethnic courtyard, which is round outside and square inside, is the most unique historical building in structure among the residential buildings in Xizhou Ancient Town. ✅Tiangongfang The filming location of "Where the Wind Goes" is a courtyard filled with various wood carvings, from small ornaments to large tables and chairs. The wood carvings of characters are lifelike. Pomegranate trees and various succulents are planted in the yard. There is also a cafe in the corner of the yard where you can take a break.
