Pasar Cihapit, a Glimpse into Bandung’s Life

#celebratewithtrip in one of the traditional market in Bandung. Pasar Cihapit (“C” is pronounced as “ch” like in “chair”, not “k”). I love to visit traditional markets when I travel to het a sense how locals live their lives. Bandung’s Pasar Cihapit (Cihapit Market) is not different. I enjoy those colorful displays of fruits and vegetables, the oh-so-many variety of snacks and ready-to-eat foods (including the fritters/fried snack stall on the 2nd to last pic), and especially the traditional market-snacks (jajan pasar) as in my last pic called Getuk, made of cassava, a little bit of sugar, served with freshly grated coconut. This market is really busy in the morning, so if you don’t want to bump into crazy crowd, come after 9am. Try some of the seasonal fruits (yay mangoes!) and street snacks and enjoy life like locals!
