Longquan Cave | Daoist Temple on the Cliff Address and Transportation • Address: Xiatuwan Road, Shapingba District, Chongqing. • Transportation: Take Metro Line 9 to Tuwan Station, then walk to Longquan Cave. You can also go from the E’ling, Pingdingshan, or Hongyan Village directions of the Banshanya Trail. Opening Hours and Tickets • Opening hours: 09:00–17:30. • Tickets: Free. Tour Routes and Attractions • Temple architecture: Longquan Cave Temple is a hanging temple built on the mountain, consisting of the Jade Emperor Hall, Queen Mother Hall, Cihang Hall, God of Wealth Hall, and more. The halls are stacked on top of each other, and the stairs are steep. The temple is a traditional Daoist temple with red eaves, red walls, and black tiles. • Viewing platform: The viewing platform of the temple faces the Jialing River, offering a wide view of the Shapingba, Jiangbei, and Yuzhong districts of Chongqing. Standing on any of the hanging platforms on the cliff, you can see the urban forest on the opposite side. • Banshanya Trail: The main trail is 2 km long, with several viewing platforms along the way. Standing on the platform, you can see Gele Mountain in the distance, overlook Shapingba, and enjoy the scenery on both sides of the Jialing River. Travel Tips • Time: It is recommended to visit in the morning. After visiting the temple, you can enjoy the sunset on the viewing platform. • Dress code: There are steep stairs between the halls in the temple, so it is recommended to wear comfortable shoes. • Notes: Some halls in the temple are being reinforced and repaired and are not open to the public. Please pay attention to safety when visiting.
