Longshui Gorge Geopark

Dive 500 meters deep into Longshui Gorge Geopark and embark on a journey to the center of the earth.|||Longshui Gorge Geopark, located in Xiannvshan Town, Wulong District, Chongqing City, is a part of Wulong Karst Tourist Area and a typical karst landscape formed by orogenic movement millions of years ago. The gorge is 5 kilometers long and 200-500 meters deep. The high mountains, steep ridges, gorges, and flowing water in the scenic area together constitute a perfect landscape painting. ✅Must experience: Watching the Milky Way Waterfall. The Milky Way Waterfall is the most beautiful waterfall in Longshui Gorge Geopark. It falls straight down from a cliff hundreds of meters high, like a huge silver curtain, which is simply a mini version of 'Milky Way Falling Nine Heavens'. The waterfall has a height difference of 80 meters and is usually 2-3 meters wide. When the water is abundant in summer, the waterfall can reach 6-8 meters wide. The waterfall hits the big rocks and makes a deafening sound. Listening to the majestic momentum of the water and feeling the coolness of the valley, it is an absolutely ideal summer resort in the hot summer. The water flows continuously in other seasons, but the amount of water will be slightly less. ✅Must experience: Looking up at the sky from the bottom of the valley. 'A line of sky light' is another important landscape in Longshui Gorge Geopark. Looking down from the top of the valley, the fog below is heavy and unfathomable, like a deep crack on the earth, hence the name of Longshui Gorge Geopark. Under the plank road is the bottom of the valley, with holes crisscrossed and rocks scattered. The trickling stream flows through the cracks in the rocks, making a rustling sound. The maximum drop from the bottom of the valley to the top of the valley is 260 meters, and the narrowest place is only one meter. The gorge is deep and looking up, the light beam is a line, and the rest is dark and deep, which is quite shocking! ✅Must experience: Passing through the 'Time and Space Tunnel'. Part of the Time and Space Tunnel, among the local people, is also called 'Firecracker Cave', which used to be a mountain cave workshop where people made firecrackers. All the scenic spots in Longshui Gorge Geopark are the natural wonders and finely crafted by nature. It can be said that watching Longshui Gorge Geopark can know the geological changes of millions of years. In addition to the famous Milky Way Waterfall, A Line of Sky Light, and Time and Space Tunnel, there are many wonders distributed here, such as Jiaolong Cold Cave, Dragon Pool Reflecting the Moon, Arhat's Asceticism, Holy Elephant Playing in the Water, Time and Space Tunnel, etc., up to more than ten places.
