Soy Sauce Crab Cravings

Lunch was at 2 PM today, and I finally got to eat the soy sauce crab I've been craving. I was so happy! That day, I couldn't find the restaurant I was originally looking for! I asked a super nice young Korean couple, and with their help, I found out it had closed down! I immediately searched for other soy sauce crab specialty restaurants nearby and stumbled upon this place near Central Station called Mama Soy Sauce Crab. No need to worry, the restaurant offers a soy sauce crab set meal for 22,000₩ per person (minimum two people)! The set includes various appetizers, kimchi pancakes, pan-fried yellow croaker, and rice, and of course, the soy sauce crab—a feast of rich flavors. There are many side dishes, and you can order more of your favorites until you're satisfied. The radish clear soup has a sweet and light flavor that pairs perfectly with the rich soy sauce crab. The set includes a whole yellow croaker, which is pan-fried to a crispy perfection without any fishy smell. I was surprised at how well Koreans can fry fish. The owner quickly disassembled the soy sauce crab for us to enjoy! The flower crab wasn't very large but was quite plump, filled with enticing orange-red roe. The crab shell, filled with bright orange roe, was mouth-watering! I loved pairing it with the fragrant and soft rice. The sweet crab roe wrapped around the rice grains had an amazing texture. It truly lived up to its reputation as a rice thief, leaving me wanting more. The crab body was just as good, with sweet crab roe and tender, flavorful crab meat. One bite and the fresh, sweet taste filled my mouth. It was indeed the flavor I've been longing for. This meal cost about HKD 230, which is a great deal since you can't even get one soy sauce crab for that price in Hong Kong! The owner was very welcoming to tourists and provided many props for us to take photos. If you're a soy sauce crab fan, you should definitely come and pay homage.
