Nanhaizi Park in Beijing

Nanhaizi Park is one of four parks on the outskirts of Beijing, with a total area of more than 11 square kilometers when completed. The park is named after the Nanyuan Imperial Garden. Nanhaizi Park is located on the south side of the Fifth South Ring Road, and in the northeast of Daxing District, between Daxing New Town and Yizhuang New Town. This is Beijing's first major environmental project to implement the southern city's action plan. Nanhaizi Park is the largest wetland in Beijing in history. These are the royal hunting grounds of the Liao, Jin, Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties, as well as the royal garden of the Ming and Qing dynasties. As Beijing's largest wetland park, Nanhaizi's size is equivalent to that of four Summer Palaces.
