Finally found a place called Ma Pangzi Zhaobing (Huajiaoyuan Store), a Hui Zhaobing shop, with no stir-fry dishes, just beef Zhaobing, lamb offal, beef tripe, meatball tofu puffs, cold dishes, etc. The taste was still good, and the Zhaobing has similarities to the Xi'an beef stew Mo. Considering the crowd in Baoding during May Day, I had a cup of coffee there and quickly went to line up for Baoding Banquet. ❗️ Arrived at Baoding Banquet around 4:10 pm, went directly to the second floor for individual diners, but they wouldn't let us take a number in advance, saying to come back when dinner starts at 5:20 pm. This seemed quite unreasonable. The first floor had some snacks, nothing special, just snacks you can find in any city. After 5 pm, we could enter and order by scanning a QR code. ✅ We ordered stir-fried Dai crab, pot-wrapped elbow, and Governor's tofu, the portions were too large, and every table couldn't finish, it's suggested to offer smaller portions so that people can try more dishes❗❗❗❗❗ Do not recommend the stir-fried Dai crab! It doesn't taste like crab, but more like tomato and egg. Although there is crab meat, the tomato sauce is too overpowering, and you can't taste the seafood flavor. The pot-wrapped elbow's skin is very crispy, a bit fatty and should be eaten while hot, the sauce with the pancakes is quite good.
