【The Beautiful White Queen on the Great Ocean Road】—Split Point Lighthouse

Australia's Split Point Lighthouse, a name I've long heard of . When I finally set foot on this land, the sight before me was staggering . Located at the southernmost tip of the Victoria Capital Region in Victoria, Australia, the Split Point Lighthouse is one of the oldest lighthouses in Australia, built in 1891 and still in operation today . We set off from Adelaide, South Australia, and traveled along the Great Ocean Road to get here Walking along the winding path towards the lighthouse, the road is flanked by dense forests, and occasionally you can see a few small animals scurrying through the woods . Upon reaching the lighthouse, I was overwhelmed by the sight. The lighthouse stands on an 80-meter-high seaside cliff, facing the intersection of the Bass Strait Maritime Centre and the Southern Ocean, majestic . According to the guide, the lighthouse still shines every night, guiding passing ships away from the rocky coast . Because the body of the lighthouse is white and the tip is red, from a distance, it looks like a slender lady wearing a red 'hat' , standing by the blue sea, hence the locals also call it the 'White Queen' . There are several viewing platforms on site, and the scenery there is simply breathtaking . The waves crash against the cliffs, splashing up bursts of white foam, the distant sea breeze and schools of fish brush over the sea surface, leaving behind long ripples . The views from the different platforms are unique, one of the cliffs looks very much like a 🐉, firmly guarding this beautiful home Standing on the platform, feeling the sea breeze on my cheeks, it's as if the whole world has come to a standstill . I learned from a nearby introduction that this is also a great place to watch whales, with the best time being from May to October Before leaving Split Point Lighthouse, we took a walk around the small hill where the lighthouse is located, surrounded by several colorful houses and gardens in full bloom, and even saw the local special white parrot 🦜 feeling blessed by the god of fortune all day
