Taking the bus to Sangdang Mountain Fortress, you need to climb a small slope to reach it. From a distance, you can see the South Gate, which is also a popular filming location for many movies. The entire mountain fortress is very large, and the pavilions and gates are brightly colored. I recommend taking photos from the gate's entrance for stunning pictures. Many people also come here for hiking. We only visited the gate and then left, but if you have time, you should explore the entire area. It looks quite vast!

It's a great place for a date in Cheongju as you can take a light walk along the trail. This time, I will introduce the Drama Village in Cheongju! This place is in Suamgol, and it has been used as a filming location for many Korean dramas, so there are statues and other things! It takes about an hour and a half from Seoul, so it's a little far, but if you like dramas, it's definitely worth a visit! There is also a cafe street nearby, so it's recommended to go to a cafe and relax after seeing the cityscape! Not far from the city center, Yangnim Cultural Cafe is where we headed by taxi. Downloading the Kao Taxi app was very convenient, and we smoothly arrived at this Hanok-style cafe. Entering from a slope into the underground space, it splits into two sections: one side is the cafe, and the other is the library. The library has three floors, each with a corridor where you can take photos and enjoy the scenery. Initially, we didn't know and obediently finished eating at the cafe before heading to the library. Later, we found out you can also eat in the library 😂😂. We saw many locals bringing their own lunch boxes to read or work here. The environment is truly serene and comfortable. We spent two hours here and didn't want to leave. Remember not to miss this spot when you're in Cheongju!

It's quite convenient to take a bus from the city center. There weren't many people along the way, making it feel like we had the entire mural village to ourselves. Each alley has some unique designs, making it fun to explore. The mural village also has a coffee street with many unique cafes to choose from. We visited a Jeju-style cafe that day, and there were many other great-looking ones. We can try a different one next time ❤️

There are also many props available for taking photos, and the drinks are very delicious. The cafe is situated on the third floor of a certain building, which might be a bit difficult to find, but it's definitely worth the visit. In fact, from the moment we entered until we left, we were the only customers there. The atmosphere is serene and adorable, making it highly recommended!

My experience walking the 'Metasequoia' road in Cheongnamdae was very peaceful and enjoyable. The road is surrounded by Metasequoia trees, giving the place an atmosphere of tranquility and natural beauty. I enjoyed walking along the wooden deck path, which allowed me to appreciate the surrounding scenery. The pure atmosphere and serenity made this trip an ideal opportunity for relaxation and meditation. It is a perfect place for nature lovers and those seeking a moment of respite from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Introducing Haechun Japanese Restaurant, the best value-for-money spot in Cheongju. This place serves such an abundance of food in their courses that it's hard to visit without a reservation. Despite the large quantity, each dish is delicious and fresh, making it a highly satisfying experience. #koreatrip We visited on a weekend and entry costs were very minimal (1,000 won adults) which means it’s probably state subsidised which is a good thing. Large cats enclosures were a bit small, in my opinion, and could have had a more natural touch n increased size. There is a small refreshments area for drinks n snacks n the ever present n necessary souvenir shops. Do check the weather prior to visitation as one would need to walk the zoo as there are no trams or other transportation within its premises. With good weather it’ll be a nice quiet visit to stay in touch with nature and all its creatures as the landscaping is very nice, green n peaceful. Recommended to prep at least 2-3 hours to leisurely tour this little zoo.

#Christmas Christmas has come down on Tagwon, the cafe that is considered the most sincere about Christmas in Cheongju. This year, the owner is proud that it has been decorated even prettier than in previous years. Not only the large tree outside the cafe, but the inside is also decorated with a Christmas feel, and there is a mini market selling cute Christmas items, and the desserts are also made with a Christmas feel, so I dare say that this is the best Christmas in Cheongju..! The party room where I had my birthday party this fall was also decorated with a Christmas mood, so it was a very pretty space for a year-end gathering. Since it is the end of the year when people are excited, many people sit at the outdoor tables, and there are large heaters installed outside, so we were able to enjoy it without being too cold. We were wondering what to eat, so we ate Sundubu Jjigae, and it was really delicious! If you ever stop by before going abroad, I hope you eat Korean food before you leave! I was sad that there weren't many restaurants in Gajeong-dong and Gangseo-dong, but this new place like Danbi opened! We ordered a set for 2, and it was a combination of 2 main menus + 2 sides + aid. The main menu, cold buckwheat noodles and fillet cutlet, were so delicious, but the butadon that came out as a side dish was also really delicious!! 🦉Owl Picnic🧺 I had been hoping for a picnic spot like this in Cheongju, and finally, it has opened! I immediately went to the Owl Picnic, and it was so much fun! You can bring your pets, and my baby and I had a blast playing around. The spacious grass field is perfect for running around, and there are camping tables, chairs, and picnic supplies available for outdoor enjoyment. If it gets too hot, you can rest in the cabin with air conditioning and recharge your energy. When you're ready, you can have a lively second round on the grass field above. There's even a bonfire zone for evening time, perfect for roasting marshmallows and enjoying the sunset. You can choose between two spaces, the White House and the Tree House. We went to the White House, where daisies were blooming. #BeautifulCafe I fell in love with this cafe at first sight when I visited it last year. I eagerly waited for the daisies to bloom this year and rushed to visit the Cheongju cafe, Toseong Village, as soon as I heard the news of its blooming. Although it has bloomed a lot over the weekend, it is only about 70% bloomed, so it is not as rich as the photos I posted last year, but it is still so beautiful. The blooming period is long, and it is not fully bloomed yet, so it seems like it will be pretty from this week to next week 🤍 The main cafe space has been expanded more than last year, so even if you can't sit in the cabin, it looked so good to take pictures while using the cafe. The bakery items have also increased significantly compared to last year, and we ate two types of bread and six salt breads while sitting down 😂 I changed my photo shooting style, so it was difficult to adjust the color of the photos this time. The Market Shelter cafe in Jincheon is a space where various props and cafes are combined. Japanese restaurant ‘Hanano Seishun’ in Seongan-gil, Cheongju I visited a delicious Japanese restaurant in Seongan-gilᦂ I visited again because it was so delicious the first time I visited! It is located in Seongan-gil and is located across from the main shopping area in a cafe that was renovated from a bathhouse😊 I usually don’t go there again if parking is difficult, but I visited again because the taste reminded me of it. They removed the no-parking sign right in front of the store and you can park, but it’s better to use the public parking lot nearby..💖 The interior is small, but it didn’t feel stuffy because of the open kitchen and the high ceiling.😊 Reservations are not possible for less than 4 people, and if there are a lot of customers, you have to wait! This is already my second visit to this restaurant Geumyong, a Chinese restaurant located in Naedeok-dong! Geumyong is famous for its Doljjajang and Beet Tangsuyuk, and I like to bring my parents here, so I visited with them both times. Beet Tangsuyuk is very crispy and sweet, so it is popular with everyone, and Doljjajang is served in a warm stone bowl, so you can eat it warm the whole time.. It is so delicious. It has its own unique taste! Jeongbuk-dong Toseong, located about 10 minutes from downtown Cheongju, is a famous sunset spot. The photo zone next to the tree on top of the Toseong is well-known, and if you take a picture here, you can leave a picture that looks like a painting. Since many people come to take pictures, if you do it right, you can get a picture taken by a photographer!
