Changge travel guide and discussion

I didn't want to share this, but this hotel is just too good to keep to myself.👍 Who gets it! I only came to Changge for a short trip, but the hotel was so comfortable I didn't want to go home.✨ The room is spacious with a great view, and it was kept spotlessly clean, so I felt at ease staying here. It's very convenient for exploring the area. When you have free time, you can visit Pang Dong Lai or check out Shenhou Ancient Town—there's great food and fun things to do along the way. After a tiring day, coming back to the hotel to rest really maximized the happiness of this trip. I honestly didn't want to leave!

Changge One-Day Trip | Free Niche Spots, Culture + Lake View Guide I. Overall Location 📍 Changge City, Xuchang, Henan. Located near Xinzheng, Zhengzhou, it is about a 1-hour drive from Zhengzhou. For high-speed rail, arrive at Changge North Station or Changge Station; taking a taxi is the most convenient way to get around the city. All core attractions are located in the city and suburbs, making it perfect for a short one-day trip. The entire route is free with no admission fees. II. Simplified Route (One-day version, divided into culture + nature) 1. Cultural & Historical (Morning | Best for Hanfu photography) ① Zhong Yao Cultural Park 📍 Location: 180 meters west of the intersection of Zhongli Road and Jinying Road (City center) ⏰ Open all day | Free admission 📸 Photo spots: Red walls and black tiles, calligraphy stele walls, Zhong Yao statue, courtyard corridors. Wear Hanfu and shoot against the red walls with backlighting for stunning, filter-free traditional-style photos. ⚠️ Tips: Don't buy calligraphy or paintings from street vendors at the entrance. Buy cultural creative ice creams only if you want them; no need to follow the trend. ② Getianyuan Park (Changge's urban green lung) 📍 Location: West side of the northern section of Weiwu Avenue (East District) ⏰ 9:00 AM–5:00 PM | Free admission 📸 Photo spots: Yuhu Lake surface, lakeside lawn, landscape bridge, Music Avenue. Shoot the lake sunset after 4:00 PM; light-colored clothing looks better in photos. The lotus pond in summer and cherry blossom avenue in spring are stunning. ⚠️ Tips: The sightseeing car in the park isn't worth it; walking is enough. There are many mosquitoes by the lake, so bring mosquito repellent. 2. Lake & Nature (Afternoon | Sunset camping) ① Shuangji River National Wetland Park 📍 Location: 1 Huangjin Avenue (Suburbs) ⏰ Free admission all day, free parking 📸 Photo spots: Wooden boardwalk, reed marshes, popular walking paths, river reflections. The autumn fallen leaves create a great atmosphere, perfect for picnics and forest-style photos. The light is soft in the evening, making it easy to get great shots. ⚠️ Tips: It's crowded on weekends, so try to visit on weekdays. Stay away from noisy areas with speakers. Please take your trash with you. ② Zengfu Lake Forest Park (Alternative, fewer people) 📍 Location: 139 Zengfu Street ⏰ Free all day, suitable for camping, fishing, and watching the orange sunset 📸 Photo spots: Lakeside wooden boardwalk, lakeside pavilion, lake silhouettes. The best time for sunset is 5:00 PM–6:30 PM. Use a wide-angle lens and a low angle for portraits. 3. Niche & Quiet Alternative (Quiet, traditional style) Changge Zhongyue Temple | Shigu Town. Free admission, free vegetarian meals available. The Taoist temple architecture is perfect for quiet photography. Free parking. III. Photography Summary (Minimalist guide for great photos) 1. Traditional Style (Zhong Yao Park): Red walls + steles. Wear Hanfu or modern Chinese-style clothing. Shoot with side lighting between 3:00 PM–5:00 PM; avoid overhead lighting at noon. 2. Lake View (Getianyuan + Zengfu Lake): Lake + sunset. Wear light white or light blue clothing. Capture silhouettes, lake reflections, and running shots on the boardwalk. 3. Forest Style (Shuangji River Wetland): Reeds, woods, wooden bridges. Wear neutral-colored clothing. Use long shots + atmospheric film style. IV. Tips & Pitfalls (Simplified version) 1. Transportation: Don't take unlicensed taxis at the entrance of attractions; use ride-hailing apps instead. Attractions are scattered, so driving yourself is the most worry-free option. 2. Consumption: All attraction entrances are free; only boat rides and amusement projects charge fees. Don't buy antiques or paintings on the roadside; they are mostly crafts. 3. Mosquitoes: There are many mosquitoes in lakeside wetlands (Fo'er Lake, Shuangji River, Getian Lake), so mosquito repellent is a must. 4. Dining: Avoid snacks at the entrance of attractions. Go to old shops on Tiedong Road in the city center for Changge Huimian (braised noodles) and lamb oil fritters. These are popular with locals and offer great value. 5. Camping: Picnics are allowed at the wetland and Zengfu Lake, but open fires and barbecues are strictly prohibited. Please clean up your trash. V. Simplified One-Day Itinerary (Copy this directly) Morning: Zhong Yao Cultural Park (1.5 hours, traditional-style photos) → Lunch: Huimian in the city center Afternoon: Getianyuan Park (2 hours, lake view lawn) Evening: Shuangji River Wetland Park/Zengfu Lake (1.5 hours, sunset photos) No admission fees for the entire trip. You only pay for food and drinks. It's perfect for a round trip from Zhengzhou on the same day.

✨A Stroll Through a Small Town | Touching the Ancient Charm, Stealing a Moment of Leisure Step into the imposing and ancient Guandi Temple, where the stone archway stands majestically and the ancient pavilions are serene. With a budget of 1,500 yuan, you can enjoy a relaxed 3-day trip in Changge.
