You can climb high to overlook the sea; whether it's blue or not doesn't matter, the sea is still beautiful 🤣. I was surprised to see many foreigners brought here by tour buses; perhaps it's a representative attraction promoted by the local tourism board. There's a string of snack stalls nearby. 3️⃣Yanting Beach Yanting Beach was photographed from the road; I didn't go down. I went to a paid attraction, forgot its name, which had a beach. Looking back from the shore, it looked especially like the palm tree beaches on the US East Coast! Full of beautiful graffiti~ I searched all over Xiaohongshu, and no one had posted pictures of this place 😂. The Cangnan 168 Golden Coast is very long; a deep dive would require 4-5 days. However, these four spots are only about 20 kilometers apart, so a day trip is perfectly fine. Personally, I think the sea view is indeed beautiful on a sunny day and well worth visiting! It would be even better to stay overnight at a B&B to watch the sunrise and sunset~ and have time to explore the remaining Yuliao and Xiaguan Old Street~ May and June are the perfect seasons for sea views, and I'm already looking forward to visiting Cangnan again!

Until the car turned into a mountain hollow in Nanpuxi town and the GPS announced “destination reached,” I stared blankly at the village gate made of piled river stones for three seconds: this isn’t a tourist spot, it’s clearly a stone city grown out of the late Tang dynasty. Kucun village, Nanpuxi town, Taishun county, Wenzhou city, was founded around the 7th year of Emperor Xianzong’s Yuanhe era (812 AD), making it over 1,200 years old. The entire village’s wall foundations, alleys, drainage ditches, and courtyard floors are all dry-stacked river stones collected from the creek, without cement, relying on sticky rice mortar and craftsmanship to fit the stones tightly. Locals say, “On rainy days, when you walk on the stones, you can still hear the water sounds from the Tang and Song dynasties,” which is no exaggeration. First step into the village: the stones are hard on your feet but also touch your heart There’s no ticket booth or turnstile at the village entrance. Next to the stone plaque reading “Kucun ancient village” is a free parking lot (enough spaces for small cars, even at noon on weekends). Crossing the Shiying gate’s stone arch, the slanting light hits the stone walls, and every stone is polished smooth by passersby, warm and glossy like old jade. I wore thin-soled canvas shoes and was already grateful after 10 minutes that I hadn’t worn flip-flops—the stone paths are really hard on your feet, but that feeling of “your soles knowing they’re walking on a thousand-year-old road” can’t be found in trendy ancient towns. From Hangzhou, it’s just over 4 hours. It’s recommended to stay overnight in Taishun county seat (Luoyang town) on Friday night and arrive at the village early the next morning. The morning mist before it clears is magical. · Without driving: Take high-speed rail to Cangnan station, then rent a car or taxi for 1.5 hours; or take a bus from Wenzhou South station to Taishun North station (about 65 yuan / 2.5 hours), then transfer to the “Taishun–Nanpuxi” rural bus, get off and walk 5 minutes to the village. Bus service is sparse, so avoid tight schedules with elderly or children. · Tickets: free, open 24 hours, no fences or mandatory guided tours. Tips: spring and autumn are best for photos (March–April rapeseed flowers by stone walls, October–November golden rice); after rain, early mornings may have clouds pressing on rooftops; bring a light jacket for cool mountain evenings; soft-soled shoes, power bank, and flashlight are more essential than camera lenses.
