Atomium Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Atomium
It's amazing! A real work of art, engineering and architecture. I've always been amazed by it, but, unfortunately, I never got the chance to visit inside. Indeed a very unique building that was much bigger than I was expecting and visually stunning. Such an amazing building constructed over 70 years ago for the 58th Expo. looking at it just makes me think of the architect who designed this majestic building with all those different dome towers. Imagine how much effort was put into connecting them. It still looks very shinny to me. I believe a lot of maintenance has been done to it to keep this fresh look.

Atomium, one of the most popular landmarks in Brussels, Belgium. It was created for the 1958 world expo which was held in Brussels.
Walked from Gare du Nord for about 25 minutes to Grand Place and from there we took Metro Line 6 to Heysel/Heizel.
The Atomium is just a few steps away from the Heysel/Heizel station.
The history of Atomium was very interesting. I read it before I visited the place and it was really worth it!

Brussels, Belgium is just a 2 and a half hour ride by bus from Amsterdam. It is faster by train but the bus was cheaper 😁 although train is definitely more comfortable but we wanted to try the bus ride experience to be able to compare it on what to take on our next vacation 😊
One of the reasons why we wanted to go to Brussels was to see the Atomium which is the most popular landmark in the city!
We saw the Atomium at day time but we went there during night and it was more beautiful with all the lights on. The lights gave more life and charms to the object which is the Atomium.
Brussels was a very interesting place. We had an exciting experience that we won‘t forget for the rest of our lives 😅

Brussels Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in Apr)
Although I am still in love with the scenery, food, culture and art of Brussels, I and Beijing chicks are ready to continue north.
has to say that it is the most convenient way to travel between different countries in Europe. The European Railways Eurail Pass of the European Railways Group Eurail Group is synonymous with the Borderless Train travel in 31 countries across Europe. You can flexibly choose a pass for a single country or Europe based on your itinerary.
We have to go to 4 countries in 15 days. Of course, it is the most convenient and cost-effective to purchase the Euro-Island Pass. The time span is valid for any 10 days in 2 months. This combination is just right for this trip. The advantage of the Euro ticket is that it is particularly flexible. According to its own arrangement, it chooses a continuous non-continuous coverage of the 31 countries' national passes, single country passes, or the Greek Islands Pass for 53 Greek islands.
Download the Rail Planner "Rail Planner" for the departures and time from Brussels to Rotterdam, from our stay at the Hotel Amigo in Brussels, 5 minutes walk to Brussels Central Station, directly with the activated Europass Get on the train. Of course, because we were the first European free traveler after all, I was unfamiliar with some of the signs in the station and almost missed the train. Fortunately, I asked the conductors in time, and the whole trip was quite shocking!
There are fewer people in the car and the view of the window is good. After two hours, we are lowering Rotterdam.

Brussels has the finest architecture and museums in Europe, and the skyscrapers complement the medieval architecture. The whole city is centered on the Imperial Palace and built along the small ring. The tour is better than walking.

Open the window and you will see the most beautiful B&B in Brussels in the Town Hall Tower!
List: Grand Place Brussels Flats 5
Dating room rate: RMB 400/person/night, one suite
Experience:
The most amazing scene is a living room with a simple, Nordic decoration, especially the chandelier in the room. There are also 2 in the kitchen, and the reflections on the wall are very dreamy!
The attention to detail is prepared for each guest with water and snacks!
The whole house has 2 floors, the living room and kitchen are on the 1st floor, the bedroom, bathroom and shower room are on the 2nd floor! The overall space is very large, and the B&B on the upper and lower floors has the feeling of a villa!
On the second floor of the bedroom sill, you can see the landmark building in Brussels by pushing the window: Brussels City Hall! The tower in the sunset is especially beautiful! As the camera zooms in, you can see the patron saint of Brussels, the golden statue of Saint Michel, 5 meters high!
B&B is in an excellent location: just 2 minutes walk from the Grand Place in Brussels, its a step away from the meal!
Tips, close to the window sill bedroom, you must close the window when you sleep at night! Because the city center of Brussels is still in the middle of the night, many tourists are still in the big square, and it is very lively!

The Royal Palace of Brussels
#bucketlistreboot
The Royal Palace of Brussels (Palais Royal) is another place to visit whilst in the city. It is the official Palace of the King and Queen of the Belgians however, it is not used as a royal residence.
This one reminded us of Buckingham Palace in London and of the the Royal Palace in Madrid. Every summer, the Royal Palace opens its doors to the public. If you are lucky enough to visit, you can see some of the splendid rooms of the palace.
Brussels is a great capital city and definitely worth visiting. It’s a popular destination for young adults and families and offers a range of attractions and activities to suit any age group and personal preferences.
