I took at trip to Peles, Bran Castle & Brasov. I got a huge surprise when the castle used to film Wednesday the Netflix series was also on our itinerary! It was magnificent. The grounds were beautiful. So much to see and even got a photo taken in the hall of secrets. A lot of places to get photos with cast cutouts amazing! Even Lady Gaga! The rest of the trip was fabulous too!

I recently stayed at the InterContinental Athénée Palace Bucharest, and despite the rainy weather during my visit, the hotel provided an absolutely delightful experience. The highlight for me was the spa. I booked a 90-minute candle massage with a 15-minute facial add-on, which was the perfect way to wrap up a busy, short trip. Catalina was amazing—calm, intuitive, and incredibly skilled. She instinctively focused on the areas that needed the most care, and my shoulders, neck, and especially my calves (after all those stairs at Bran Castle) feel completely rejuvenated. The spa’s atmosphere was tranquil and quietly luxurious, and the entire experience felt wonderfully unrushed. I left feeling deeply relaxed and truly revitalized—a standout moment of my stay. I also want to commend the staff throughout the hotel for their warmth and hospitality, especially during breakfast, in the Athénée Café, and at the English Bar. The service in these spaces was consistently friendly and attentive, a real testament to the hotel’s commitment to quality. My check-out experience with Andra at the front desk was excellent (check-in with someone else was slightly less welcoming, though this could’ve been due to my tired and rain-soaked state of mind, or my expectations after warmer welcomes elsewhere). The hotel’s location is fantastic, making it an ideal and comfortable base for exploring Bucharest. I would gladly stay here again and wouldn’t hesitate to book another treatment with Catalina.
