2025 Binchuan Travel Guide: Must-see attractions, popular food, hotels, transportation routes (updated in February)

Binchuan County (宾川县) is under the administration of the Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture in Yunnan Province, situated on the edge of the Yunling Hengduan Mountains on the southern bank of the Jinsha River in the southwestern region of the Yunnan-Guizhou Plateau. Binchuan County gets ample sunlight and heat, making the area rich in tangerines and navel oranges, enjoying the reputation of being the “home of oranges.” Mount Jizu, one of the five sacred mountains of Buddhism in China, is found in the region, and gets its name (literally “Chicken-foot Mountain”) due to its resemblance to a chicken’s foot. Many precious monuments and ancient temples can be enjoyed on the mountain while taking in the stunning mountain scenery.
