#traveldiaries You would not believe the age of this restaurant by seeing it, but this restaurant, called Pun Chun Wonton Noodle shop, has been serving customers for the good old 87 years at Bidor, Perak. Even the ex Singapore prime minister Lee Hsien Loong was reminded of his childhood experience having noodle with his father here when visitung then Malaya. The noodles are made using traditional methods of bamboo pressing, and the Wonton is huge, each having 2 shrimps in it. We ordered 4 portions of noodle plus soup with additional 10, and the meal is so satisfying. They also sell various kinds of biscuits and we bought some back. Besides, this shop also brings me back 25 years ago when I first visited here brought by my uncle. This trip bring back lots of memory and I will definitely visit again.

I stopped by this rather nice wanton mee spot in Bidor, one that is different from my usual place but the noodles here at Pusat Makanan Mee Wah is also very delicious. The noodles has a strong bold flavors to it, noodles are nicely cooked, not too soft that it loses it bounce. The wanton has a good prawn and pork mixture to give it the flavor and bite. I just pass by Bidor, Negeri Perak and I found out that there have a famous restaurant that sell Duck Noodle. Being surrounded by forest with sound of waterfall, it is beyond than what I expecting from this place. All works and problems have I left at KL, since the forest giving me The Heaven on Earth!

Gepai Falls is also known as Lubuk Degong Waterfalls, or simply Bidor Waterfall. To go to Gepai Falls, from Bidor town head to Kampung Jalan Paku (also known as Jalan Paku Bidor). You may get confused about which road to take when you are coming from town. Taking extra safety measures is a must during picnics at waterfalls, and this is not exclusive to Gepai Falls. As usual, stay alert for waterfall flash floods (kepala air). Do also note that there is always a risk of contracting communicable diseases, so always watch out for symptoms after a trip to the waterfalls. It's very beautiful and inviting.
