Arco travel guide and discussion

On this trip Milan + Lake Como, both cities have their own authentic Italian cuisine. Dining outdoors at the Milan restaurant for an Italian flair, with sunny, ancient Western architecture matching the three specialties on the table: Palmer margarita pizza, baked eggplant mille-feuille, and Italian beef knee stew. The walk to Lago Di Como Como Lake and up the picturesque lakefront along over 300 steps is strenuous but definitely worth it. Each restaurant is good value for money, friendly hospitality, suitable for you who want to feel the authentic taste! Osteria da Fortunata Address: Via del Pellegrino, 11/12, 00186 Roma RM, Italy Signature dishes: Tomato beef pasta, beef balls, tiramisu, stewed beef bones, stewed beef belly Environment: The atmosphere of the old city of Rome, outdoor seating to feel the lively humanity, the shop has a handmade pasta making counter Opening hours: 11:30–23:00 daily Price: About €20-€35 per person Features: All pasta is ready-made, beef meatballs are delicate, pasta absorbs all the rich tomato flavor. Dessert tiramisu is smooth and authentically Roman. Impressions: The waiter took the initiative to explain the menu, no problem if you don't understand Italian. Remember to make a reservation, it is difficult to wait for a seat during peak hours. Pizza Al Trancio Address: Via Piero della Francesca, 58, 20152 Milano MI, Italy Signature dishes: Palmer margarita pizza, artisan bread Environment: Minimalist interior, popular local shop in Milan, nearby a residential area, not a concentration of tourists. #summervacay When I told my German colleagues I was vacationing in Arco near Garda See, they kept correcting me — saying Arco isn’t exactly right on the lake’s edge. And they’re right! Arco is about 5 km from the lake, and many who’ve visited Garda See multiple times don’t even know about this little spot. It’s definitely an off-the-beaten-path destination. Arco sits at the northern tip of Lake Garda, in the Trient region. But since it’s practically connected to the popular tourist town of Riva del Garda, it’s often considered part of the Garda lake area. The town is small and cozy, with a charming pedestrian street and a central square you can easily explore on foot 🚶♀️. Parking is not difficult to find either. Despite its size, Arco offers plenty of dining options — cafés, bakeries, and restaurants aplenty ☕🥖🍝. On weekends, the open-air square fills with a bit of local buzz and liveliness. We visited during the busy summer season, but even then, the town felt peaceful and relaxed. No need to book restaurants in advance, and prices are quite reasonable — a perfect spot to unwind away from the hustle and bustle. #GardaSee #HiddenGems #ArcoItaly #OffTheBeatenPath #ItalyTravel

The small Northern Italian town of Arco is famous amongst one community, that of climbers. But, they aren’t the only group who should be visiting the compact town centre is a treasure trove of mazing streets which feel like they haven’t changed in centuries. Some of the highlights here include the imposing church and its surrounding square, the castle which sits above olive groves looking down on the town and the stunning 19th century casino. #voyagevibes

Arco in Italy’s Trentino region is a world famous climbing destination, however for those not quite brave enough to tackle sheer rock faces a hike around the towns hills can still provide the same joy. Leaving the town to the North East along the beautiful Sarce river you will reach the small village of Bolognano, from here you can take on a number of different hiking routes include a walk through a glaciated landscape full of hidden caves. #caves #hike #italy_views
