Das Hotel liegt in ruhiger, sehr schöner Lage nahe Zwettl. Das Zimmer war geschmackvoll eingerichtet, der Balkon klein, aber für zwei Nächte ausreichend. Dass es ein Hundehotel ist wussten wir nicht, hat aber zu keiner Zeit gestört. Der Wellnessbereich ist schön, für einen kurzen Aufenthalt ausreichend, da es nur eine Sauna (außer Dampf- und Solebad, 40 Grad Sauna) gibt und der Innenpool bei mehr als fünf Leuten bereits etwas beengt ist. Der Außenbereich ist sehr gepflegt, der geräumige Schwimmteich war Wetter bedingt bei 14 Grad, wir haben ihn trotzdem genutzt. Etwas irritierend war, dass die Leute aus dem Saunabereich nackt im Garten lagen, während die Gäste, die aus dem Innenbereich kamen mit der Badebekleidung da waren. Viele kannten sich da nicht ganz aus... Das gesamte Hotel ist schön eingerichtet und alles sehr sauber. Das Personal ist in allen Bereichen, auch im dazugehörigen Restaurant ausgesprochen freundlich! Etwas unangenehm empfanden wir, dass man vom Wellnessbereich mit Bademantel und Schlapfen in das Restaurant gehen muss, um ein Getränk oder einen Snack zu konsumieren. Da fühlt man sich deplatziert. Es wäre schön, wenn es zumindest zu bestimmten Zeiten einen Ausschank in diesem Bereich geben würde. Das Frühstück ist sensationell. Alles da, was das Herz begehrt. Das Restaurant bietet eine überschaubare Speisekarte mit regionalen Speisen, allerdings doch zu eher gehobenen Preisen. Daher haben wir auch andere Restaurants in Zwettl aufgesucht. Rund um das Hotel gibt es einige Möglichkeiten, sich sportlich zu betätigen. Mehrere Mountainbike Touren und viele Wanderwege. Auch Zwettl kann man in etwas mehr als einer Stunde zufuß erreichen. Wir hatten einen Gutschein für eine Nacht und haben die dazu gebuchte Nacht Vorort bezahlt. Wir waren dann doch über den Preis etwas überrascht. Zu diesem Preis haben wir schon in Hotels genächtigt, in denen der Wellnessbereich wesentlich mehr zu bieten hatte. Fazit: Sehr schön, sehr freundlich aber wir fanden den hohen Preis - sowohl für das Zimmer, als auch im Restaurant nicht gerechtfertigt.
