Wansen Hotel (South Gate of Ancient City of Zhengding)

A highly recommended hotel in Zhengding Ancient City! The environment is great, and it offers excellent value for money. The front desk staff are warm, attentive, and always willing to help. The owner is also very kind and hospitable. I'll definitely stay here again next time. It's super convenient for exploring the ancient city!

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet alley, yet the location is fantastic. It's a short walk to all the major attractions and the South Gate. They have an internal parking lot with plenty of spaces, and the staff are quite pleasant too.

The hotel is newly opened. The room was clean, spacious, and bright, and the service was warm and attentive. Parking downstairs was also very convenient, and it's close to attractions. The only downside was a slight smell of renovation in the room.

The hotel's location is quite convenient; just a short walk to the right from the main gate leads directly to the street. The hotel facilities are also quite complete, basically meeting the needs of a self-driving tour, with parking and laundry facilities. The room I booked had an outdoor terrace, but it was too hot to stay outside; otherwise, it would have been quite comfortable in the cooler autumn weather. Personally, I felt the hotel's shortcomings were that the flooring didn't look very clean, and the sink had a slight odor.

The hotel environment was nice, and the receptionist was very helpful on the day of check-in! We booked two rooms, a family room and a double room. The double room even had a small courtyard with a parasol, table, and chairs. It was drizzling, and we sat in the courtyard, enjoying tea and chatting – very comfortable! There's a small restaurant with a simple breakfast; although the selection wasn't huge, it was quite comprehensive and the food was decent! The hotel also has electric tricycles for rent, which are very convenient for getting around the old town! The only downside is that it requires some driving skill. The hotel has parking, but the alley in front is a bit narrow. 😁

I booked two rooms. One room was fine overall, except for a slight odor when I entered, which dissipated after opening the window for a while. The room layout was quite reasonable, with a table that was convenient for having a late-night snack. The bedding was comfortable, and the hairdryer was a Dyson-like model with strong airflow, much stronger than most hotel hairdryers. However, in the other room, room 315, the shower knob was a bit rusty and didn't work well.

Environment: The hotel is conveniently located near the south gate of the ancient city. Cleanliness: The hotel is clean and comfortable, with some houses on the ground floor featuring courtyards. Facilities: The hotel is fully equipped. Rooms include hairdryers, and the front desk thoughtfully provides razors, makeup remover wipes, etc. In addition, they offer brewed herbal tea, fruit tea, and soaked red dates and goji berries – truly considerate!
