Yongle Smart Hotel (Zhangzhou Gucheng Branch)

The single room at the hotel wasn't huge, but it was just right for one person. It was very quiet and felt super safe, and the cleanliness was absolutely spot on. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and the pillows were the perfect height – I woke up naturally every day. The front desk service was also wonderfully warm; knowing I was traveling solo, they specially reminded me to be careful and even drew me a food map. This trip was made even better because I chose this hotel. It offers excellent value for money and I highly recommend it to anyone traveling alone!

This hotel is conveniently located next to the Xiangcheng District Government in Zhangzhou City. The old town is just a 200-meter walk away, making it super easy to get around. There are shared electric bikes right outside the door, and plenty of restaurants nearby. Plus, the old town itself has a food street, which is a total paradise for foodies! It's perfect for sightseeing and trying out all the delicious local cuisine.

This hotel is super pet-friendly, which is great – you can bring your furry friends along. They're really understanding, but do keep in mind that pets can't be left alone in the room; they need to go out with you. There's a parking lot right next to the hotel with plenty of spaces, so parking is a breeze. The rooms are also spotless. The guy at the front desk was really enthusiastic and gave us lots of great tips for sightseeing. Definitely excellent value for money.

Here, all the bath towels, regular towels, toothbrushes, and slippers are disposable, and the amenities are very comprehensive. The room has an Xiao Ai smart assistant, which you can use to control the lights and other things. Downstairs is the ancient city with plenty of food and entertainment. You'll find everything from tofu pudding, vermicelli, oyster omelets, satay noodles, and 'sea worm' jelly to triangle-shaped rice cakes.
