GENTING APARTMENT

Location: Many reviews highlight the hotel's convenient location with ski-in/ski-out access, such as being right next to ski slopes like Edelweiss or Genting Ski Resort, allowing easy skiing in and out.(based on 86 reviews)

Nice and big apartment, check in process was difficult without a Chinese number, no reception/front desk they are contacted via WeChat but often takes a bit of time to respond so help was not instant or as required. They also did not organise ski rental equipment or clothing for us and no discounts either even though there were many discounts and benefits listed… felt cheated because we literally booked for this reason thinking we could easily have “equipment dropped off to your door” and all those 5-15% discounts to be redeemed a day before.? Only had a 5%? Discount on our ski passes they arranged for us then they told us to go elsewhere for renting equipment as they didn’t have… when we went to rent ski equipment the workers at the other hotel said we could have got a package instead with everything included… It is a ski in and ski out apartment but not that convenient for getting around to other places like for food. We expected meals for breakfast as it is included in our booking and they did provide food BUT you have to cook and prepare it yourself, we were ready to do so until we saw how dirty the utensils and cookware were… very off putting so we decided to leave the frozen dumplings and noodles in the fridge. I will upload the map of the entire Yunding Snow Park as I highly recommend staying at one of the hotels like Prince Hotel, we went there many times for food and help! I’ve circled in red where this lot of apartments are located, after reading this review I hope you carefully decide where to stay as I wouldn’t want others to regret as much as we did

Good: 1. Location is amazing, you can ski directly from the building entrance. 2. Warm room, central heating, large windows with nice view, overall good. 3. Locker for the ski equipment. Other: 1. NO towel, they provide disposable towels only, which is a bit weird, had to buy towels in a nearby shop. 2. Breakfast is just frozen dumplings in the freezer, if I would know before, would book a room without breakfast. 3. Need to access room through WeChat with 200rmb deposit. So tricky if you don’t speak Chinese. Overall, knowing those flaws, would prepare in advance, but its a good place to stay, would book again in future.
