Shuanglong Hotel

The best thing about this ski-in/ski-out hotel is its convenience, plus there's a hot spring which is great for unwinding. However, the rooms are very basic and tiny; you can barely turn around in the bathroom, and there isn't even a mini-fridge! 😤 The only real advantage is the discount on ski rental for hotel guests, and the shuttle bus is excellent 👍, very convenient for getting to the ski rental hall on cold days. **Cleanliness:** It was cleaned, but not very well. There were still hairs on the bed, and it felt like an old guesthouse. I asked for water, and it was delivered quickly, so that was responsive. **Environment:** There's not much in terms of environment, other than being right next to the ski slope for ski-out access, with the entrance/exit conveniently located at the end of the magic carpet area. The slope leading to the lobby entrance is extremely steep, which makes pulling ski gear difficult. On the bright side, hot drinks are available in the lobby 👍, and there's a small shop for convenience. The hotel decor is quite ugly, with the rooms and restaurant having a very old-fashioned style 😅. **Service:** There isn't much in the way of service, though the front desk staff can help call a luggage cart. Overall, the food in the restaurant is good, breakfast is very abundant, and dinner is also quite nice 😌👌.

Delicious food and drinks, lots of fun activities, and overall a very welcoming atmosphere that made us feel right at home.

The room itself was decent, but the soundproofing was terrible. We were woken up at 5 AM by guests going for an early start. Just as we managed to fall back asleep around 6 AM, the 8 AM crowd woke us up again. Definitely not staying here next time.

The room is a bit small, it's hard to even fit two snowboards in there. They were completely inflexible about late check-out, which was really tough since we had to change in the hallway after skiing. Other than that, it's okay, but you have to ski a bit to get to the gear rental hall.

The rooms are relatively old, but that's understandable given the hotel's age. The hot springs are pretty good. I stayed for a long time, and it's important to go during off-peak hours; the hot spring experience can be affected when it's crowded. The dinner buffet was indeed excellent. In terms of service, the staff at the front desk, restaurant, and housekeeping all had good attitudes. However, Wanlong's business practices aren't very generous. My room rate was already high because I stayed continuously over Christmas, and I had to pay for two extra children's breakfasts every day. When checking out, it was very difficult to even get a late checkout approved. And for things like children's breakfasts, they wouldn't budge even a single cent. For an old hotel, this kind of attitude makes it hard to retain repeat customers, and I won't be coming back.
