Genting World Hotel

We set off on Friday night and arrived at the hotel close to 11 PM. The lovely ladies, Song Pingping and Cui Wenbin, patiently introduced us to the ski resort and ski rental options. The room was great – clean and hygienic, with a balcony that offered a direct view of the ski slopes. The surrounding scenery was beautiful, just lovely~

The loft on the first floor offers a beautiful view, and the ski-in/ski-out access is super convenient. Xiao Song at the front desk was very attentive and thorough with her service, and she's also very lovely.

For a ski trip to Genting, I highly recommend staying at Genting Residences. You can literally ski in and out of the resort, which is incredibly convenient. After a short ski, you're right at the cable car, saving you a lot of hassle with driving or walking – a huge time-saver! Just a little further down, you'll find the Genting Ski Resort lobby and the Genting Grand Hotel, making dining and shopping super easy. When you're tired from skiing, coming back and relaxing on the balcony in the sun is just pure bliss. The hotel's facilities are top-notch, and the underfloor heating is wonderfully comfortable. Having stayed in at least a dozen ski-in/ski-out hotels, Genting Residences is my absolute top pick. This is the kind of quality accommodation every skier deserves.

The front desk manager, Wang Jianting, provided excellent service. It's a great hotel.

Facilities: The room was very warm, and it even had air conditioning with heating, an induction cooktop, a microwave, a washing machine, and a refrigerator – everything you could need for an extended stay at the ski resort. Environment: Ski-in/ski-out access was incredibly convenient. You're right on the ski slope as soon as you step out. It's a 2-minute walk up or a 2-minute slide down to the chairlift, which takes you up the mountain. View: Outside the window is a small sports park. It was so relaxing to sit on the balcony and watch the kids ski!

I come to Chongli every week and have stayed in hotels around various ski resorts, or ski-in/ski-out hotels directly on the slopes. This one was the worst experience. First, the positives: the ski-in/ski-out access right by the piste is very convenient, and the snow view from the balcony, day or night, is truly beautiful. The hotel facilities are decent and have everything you'd expect, but the cleaning wasn't thorough enough. The washing machine and table were askew, not neatly arranged, and the bathroom door and the two toilet doors overlapped, making it inconvenient to enter and exit – a very unreasonable design. All of this would actually be okay, but what I found most unacceptable was the very lackadaisical and impolite front desk staff. The shuttle driver clearly saw my luggage but completely ignored it and didn't offer to help until I called out. Most hotels are pretty much the same, but the main issue here is that the staff completely lack any service sense, as if they haven't been trained at all. I had to take the shuttle myself for anything I needed. I don't mind taking it, but there was no problem-solving attitude whatsoever.
