Hotels near Yuanjiajie Scenic Area, Zhangjiajie

We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was about a 5 minute walk to the national park and there are a lot of food options around the hotel. The lady at the reception gave us a clear description of the national park and what would be the best route for a 2 day visit.

I really liked the hotel. The hotel arranged a transfer from the train station to the hotel and back, and it also took us to the main attractions. The staff was very helpful and responsive to our questions and concerns. The receptionist spoke English and assisted us in purchasing tickets for the Avatar Mountains, the Grand Canyon, and the cave. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We also had a free tea ceremony with four different teas from China. After the ceremony, we were able to purchase the tea we liked. The breakfasts were good, and even a Russian person could find something to eat. The hotel grounds are a separate aesthetic pleasure, especially in the evening when the steam is turned on. There is also a very beautiful view of the mountains from the room window.

We arrived early in the morning, and the owner upgraded our room for free. It was much larger and more spacious. Opening the curtains, I could see the surrounding mountains. It was especially wonderful to be able to gaze at the mist-shrouded mountain scenery without leaving the room in the morning. The entrance to the scenic area is less than 15 minutes away. The hotel also provides free walking sticks, but those planning to take the cable car up the mountain should avoid using them, as they are completely unnecessary. There are many restaurants nearby, all reasonably priced and delicious.

From the very first moment we arrived at Hotel Sambhala, we felt completely at home. Kelly, the owner, and her family are exceptionally kind and attentive; you can really tell they put their heart into looking after every guest and every little detail. The facilities are modern and impeccably maintained, with clean, comfortable spaces that invite you to relax. Everything is designed to make you feel at ease, creating a genuinely warm and welcoming atmosphere. One of the absolute highlights is the traditional Chinese food they prepare: homemade, flavourful dishes full of authentic taste that showcase the true local cuisine. Each meal feels like a special moment to enjoy and share. All in all, Hotel Sambhala is the perfect place for anyone looking for sincere hospitality, a cozy environment, and delicious cuisine. Amazing service - they were very accomodating and patient with us as we only spoke English. Awesome location where it was right next to the East gate entrance. They helped us book our passes to the National park, Grand Canyon and Tianmen Mountain at a discounted price. The facilities are very clean and aesthetic with a relaxing atmosphere. Very generous option in the breakfast buffet selection. Very tidy and clean room a d service. We had fun playing with the voice activation to turn the light on/off and opening/closing the blinds 😆. Definitely would visit again.

I highly, highly recommend staying here! The hosts are the kindest, most generous people who went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. They helped us with buying tickets to the National Park, giving us advice for our itinerary and caring for us when we were sick - they really went above and beyond. The rooms are modern, big and spotless. They get cleaned daily and the beds are incredibly comfortable. It is super close to all the shops and restaurants to explore the town as well. This place really can’t be faulted, and neither can the hosts. We are so pleased we experienced this time with such lovely people!

very quiet with a nice view. highly recommended if you want to get out of the city. food at hotel restaurant is good too, they grow their own rice and vegetables. offers free pick up and drop off to east gate. the b&b also have a lot of cute animals who will follow you around

Nice hotel! Rooms are big, service is good, & it’s a great location. The front desk man is extremely kind & helpful with booking attraction tickets. I definitely recommend staying here!

I had an excellent stay at this hotel and couldn’t be happier with my experience. The receptionist was incredibly helpful and truly made my trip memorable. She patiently planned and explained all the tours in great detail, which made exploring the area smooth and stress-free. The hotel’s location is another big plus, as it is very close to all the main attractions. If you are visiting Zhangjiajie, I highly recommend not booking tickets online. Instead, ask the receptionist to book them for you, as they offer good discounts and better deals. Overall, a wonderful stay and highly recommended!

The place was nice , the host is very kind and speaks good English. You will find cute kitties living on the ground floor.the owner will help you booking tickets for the attractions if u need for just a small charge . There are always many guests both chinese and foreigners. You can have dinner all together for 30 yuan and experience various local foods. The rooms are clean , there is airconditioning and he will provide a set of sheets and blanket/pillow. He even took all the guests on an evening walk to some cave for free. Totally recommended
